According to VC News Daily, Emobi has raised $3.4 million in seed funding to support the expansion of its electric vehicle charging roaming and Plug & Charge infrastructure. The round was led by Florida Funders, with participation from existing investors including Aves Ventures, Collaborative Fund, Gaingels, Gener8tor, Goodwater Capital, Oasis Capital, OneSixOne Ventures, Ride Wave Ventures, and Y Combinator.
The new capital will be used to scale Emobi’s technical infrastructure and accelerate the expansion of its proprietary product, JustPlug. JustPlug is a cloud-based Plug & Charge solution designed to enable secure, automated EV charging without the need for apps, cards, or manual authentication, supporting seamless interoperability across charging networks.
Emobi is currently running pilot programs with three of the top ten electric vehicle automakers in North America. These pilots are focused on testing and implementing JustPlug within automaker ecosystems, with the goal of enabling large-scale commercial deployments across vehicles operating under those brands.
The company plans to expand JustPlug through partnerships with automakers, fleet operators, charging providers, and infrastructure companies, positioning the platform as a foundational layer for automated charging experiences as EV adoption continues to grow.
