LinkedIn has launched LinkedIn Ads Agency Certification, a new credential designed to help marketers identify agencies with proven expertise in LinkedIn advertising and platform best practices. The program gives agencies a way to demonstrate their ability to deliver business results through LinkedIn Ads while strengthening trust with prospective clients during the B2B buying process.
The certification comes as marketers face increasing pressure to justify advertising spend and deliver measurable performance outcomes. LinkedIn said its advertising platform delivers a 121% return on ad spend among major ad networks, making agency expertise and execution increasingly important for brands seeking stronger campaign performance.
The new certification recognizes agencies that meet LinkedIn’s standards for platform knowledge, operational readiness, and advertising best practices. Certified agencies are positioned to stand out in competitive pitches and RFPs while signaling trusted expertise to potential clients earlier in the decision-making process.
To qualify, agencies must complete a defined set of requirements, including LinkedIn Business Manager setup, invoicing readiness, and completion of key certifications through LinkedIn Marketing Academy. The company said the process is designed to integrate into existing agency workflows without requiring major operational changes or additional dedicated resources.
Agencies that earn certification receive an official certification badge, approved marketing language, messaging rights, and a communications toolkit to help promote their expertise. Certified partners may also receive additional visibility through LinkedIn-led marketing campaigns and industry recognition initiatives.
Matt Derella said the certification reflects growing demand for clear and trusted signals of agency capability as expectations around performance and accountability continue to rise.
The launch reflects a broader trend across digital advertising platforms, where agencies and marketers are increasingly seeking formal credentials to validate expertise, improve client trust, and differentiate themselves in a competitive advertising landscape.
