PennAero Completes Acquisition of TriMas Aerospace Assets

PR Newswire reports that PennAero has completed its acquisition of TriMas Corporation’s aerospace assets, combining two established manufacturers to create a larger independent supplier serving the global aerospace, defense, space, and advanced energy markets.

The acquisition significantly expands PennAero’s product portfolio and engineering capabilities. The newly integrated businesses include several well-known aerospace manufacturers: Monogram Aerospace Fasteners, Allfast Fastening Systems, Mac Fasteners, TFI Aerospace, Martinic Engineering, RSA Engineered Products, Weldmac Manufacturing Company, and TAG (formerly TriMas Aerospace Germany).

Company leaders say the combined organization will provide customers with expanded resources while maintaining continuity for existing programs and relationships.

PennAero manufactures highly engineered components including externally threaded structural fasteners, gears, latches, manifolds, and precision-machined parts used by major aerospace manufacturers such as Boeing and Airbus, as well as customers in the semiconductor and space sectors. The company operates engineering and manufacturing facilities across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Executives say the acquisition strengthens PennAero’s position as an independent manufacturing partner at a time when much of the aerospace supply chain has consolidated among a small number of large suppliers.

PennAero is backed by private investment partnership Tinicum, L.P., along with funds managed by Blackstone, which have supported the company’s expansion in specialized aerospace manufacturing.

With the addition of the TriMas Aerospace businesses, PennAero aims to build on its engineering expertise and global manufacturing footprint while continuing to support critical aerospace and defense programs worldwide.
