PNC Bank Unveils Mobile Accept for Micro Businesses to Simplify Payments

PNC Bank has introduced Mobile Accept, a mobile payment processing solution built specifically for microbusinesses. The tool enables small business owners to accept credit and debit card payments using a smartphone or tablet, providing a fast, affordable, and accessible alternative to traditional point-of-sale systems.

Mobile Accept is fully integrated into the existing PNC Mobile app. Business owners can process in-person transactions either by manually entering card information or by using a compact card reader that supports tap, dip, or swipe payments.

Designed for businesses processing less than $300,000 in annual card sales, Mobile Accept comes with no monthly fee and near-instant setup. Users also have access to key features including tip and tax entry, transaction tracking, and cardholder data encryption.

“Micro businesses are often left behind by traditional card payment solutions due to high fees, restrictive card programs and approval delays,” said Matt Evans, head of PNC Merchant Services for Small Businesses. “With PNC Mobile Accept, we’re meeting small businesses where they are, delivering enterprise-grade payments capabilities at micro business scale — fast, affordable, and accessible.”

Payments are typically settled within two business days. Mobile Accept accepts all major credit card providers. To enroll, business owners must have an active PNC business checking account. Applications are available both online and at PNC Bank branches.

Payment processing for Mobile Accept is provided by Tempus Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of PNC Bank.

This launch underscores PNC’s commitment to providing small businesses with accessible financial tools that support day-to-day operations and growth, especially for entrepreneurs operating in mobile or flexible environments.
