SBA Unveils 2025 National Small Business Week to Honor Entrepreneurial Achievements

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced its annual National Small Business Week, an event dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of small businesses across the nation. The 2025 program will span from May 4 to May 10, 2025, and will feature several events, including the acknowledgment of outstanding small business owners and entrepreneurs through various specialty awards.

This year’s festivities will continue the tradition of highlighting the significant contributions small businesses make to the American economy. National Small Business Week will be recognized through a series of virtual and in-person events, including a national roadshow visiting cities such as Boise, Idaho, Phoenix, Arizona, Nashville, Tennessee, and Hartford, Connecticut. These events will draw attention to the hard work and determination of diverse business owners. During this celebration, the SBA will host panels, webinars, and discussions that focus on relevant issues facing small businesses, offering insights and strategies for overcoming challenges.

One of the highlights of this program will be the presentation of specialty awards, which recognize exemplary achievements in different areas. These awards honor individuals who have shown outstanding innovation, leadership, and community engagement in their business endeavors. Award categories include Small Business Exporter of the Year and the Phoenix Awards for disaster recovery efforts, recognizing those who have demonstrated exceptional business practices and growth.

Administrator Kelly Loeffler emphasized the importance of recognizing the resilience and ingenuity of America’s small businesses. She remarked on their critical role in driving economic growth and innovation, as well as their ability to provide essential services and employment opportunities in communities across the country.

The celebration will include workshops and educational sessions aimed at supporting small business owners in navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship. These sessions will cover important topics such as manufacturing, digital marketing, cybersecurity, and cryptocurrency, helping small businesses access new tools and strategies for growth.

In addition to the virtual events, the SBA plans to host several in-person festivities, enabling business leaders and entrepreneurs to network and share their experiences. This interaction serves as a valuable opportunity for participants to connect with peers, learn from experts, and gain insights into best practices in small business management.

Through National Small Business Week, the SBA reinforces its commitment to supporting American entrepreneurs by providing resources, guidance, and recognition. This initiative highlights the pivotal role of small businesses in the economy, underlining their contributions to job creation, innovation, and community development across the nation.
