Small business owners want the Trump administration to address taxation, healthcare, and regulatory reform, according to a recent survey from National Write Your Congressman (NWYC).

According to NWYC, the survey gathered responses from a diverse group of small business leaders across various industries, aiming to understand their expectations and priorities. The most pressing issue for many small business owners remains taxation. A considerable portion of respondents expressed the need for more straightforward tax regulations, hoping for policies that could help reduce their tax burden and provide clarity in how taxes are levied on their businesses. Simplifying the tax code is seen as critical to fostering a more business-friendly environment.
Healthcare reform is another area where small business owners seek substantial changes. Many respondents highlighted the plight of rising healthcare costs and the complexity of current healthcare legislation. They anticipate reforms that could make health insurance more affordable and accessible, thereby enabling them to provide better benefits to their employees without jeopardizing their financial stability.
Regulatory reform was also at the forefront of concerns, with a strong desire to see less bureaucratic red tape. Small business owners are calling for a regulatory landscape that is less cumbersome and more conducive to entrepreneurship and innovation. Decreasing the regulatory burden could significantly enhance their ability to compete and thrive in the marketplace.
