NetSuite Unveils AI Tools to Streamline Financial Operations

According to SmallBizTrends, Oracle NetSuite has unveiled a new set of AI-driven tools designed to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency for businesses, with a particular focus on automating routine processes and strengthening financial controls. The announcement was made at SuiteConnect New York, where NetSuite highlighted how embedded AI can turn disconnected financial tasks into integrated, end-to-end workflows.

Among the new capabilities is the Intelligent Close Manager, which centralizes and automates the financial close process. The tool helps shorten close cycles, improve accountability, and enhance data integrity by monitoring close activities and providing analytics-driven insights into financial performance. This allows businesses to spend less time closing the books and more time on strategic decision-making.

NetSuite also introduced AI-powered bank transaction matching, which improves the speed and accuracy of bank reconciliations. By using generative AI to classify bank activity, the feature reduces the need for manual reviews and enables accounts to be closed more efficiently, supporting stronger cash oversight.

Additional enhancements include AI-generated report narratives that convert complex financial and operational data into readable summaries with a single click, helping users quickly understand and communicate key insights. AI-powered customer summaries were also introduced to streamline issue resolution by providing concise overviews of customer cases and transaction histories.

For businesses managing complex pricing structures, NetSuite unveiled an AI-assisted advanced pricing tool that centralizes pricing governance and helps protect profit margins. The system allows prices to be configured based on factors such as customer segments and item assortments, enabling faster responses to market changes.

On the development side, the SuiteCloud Developer Assistant aims to improve productivity for developers and administrators by automating repetitive tasks and accelerating customization work. NetSuite also introduced the EPM Planning Agent and EPM Reconciliation Agent, which support real-time planning, scenario analysis, and automated transaction clearing, allowing finance teams to focus on high-risk exceptions rather than manual processing.

As these features roll out globally, NetSuite positions its AI strategy as a way for businesses to improve operational efficiency, gain clearer financial insight, and respond more quickly to changing conditions using a unified cloud ERP platform.
