Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. Named Small Business of the Week by Joni Ernst

Joni Ernst has named Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. as her Small Business of the Week, recognizing the company’s growth and impact as part of her initiative to highlight businesses across all 99 Iowa counties.

Founded in 2009 by Clark and Barbara Lewey, the brewery has grown from a small microbrewery into an internationally recognized craft beer brand. Known for its focus on quality and innovation, the company now employs more than 150 people and operates a taproom offering over 40 beer options.

Ernst praised the business for its commitment to craftsmanship and community, noting that its success reflects the qualities that define strong small businesses. The recognition is part of an ongoing effort by the Senate Small Business Committee to spotlight standout local enterprises throughout the state.

Toppling Goliath continues to serve as a family-owned operation rooted in northeast Iowa, contributing to the local economy while building a broader national and international presence.
