Workday has introduced Sana, a new AI-powered interface designed to transform how organizations manage human resources and financial processes. The platform embeds AI directly into Workday’s core systems, enabling users to not only retrieve information but also complete tasks and automate workflows within the same environment.
Sana includes a self-service agent with more than 300 skills that can handle everyday HR and finance tasks, such as answering employee questions, updating records, and managing workflows. By operating within Workday’s existing security and data framework, the system ensures that actions and responses are grounded in accurate, permission-based information.
In addition to task automation, Sana can orchestrate work across multiple enterprise systems through integrations with platforms like Microsoft Outlook, Google Drive, Salesforce, and Slack. This allows users to complete complex, multi-step processes through a single conversational interface.
The launch reflects a broader shift toward embedding AI directly into enterprise workflows, reducing reliance on disconnected tools and improving efficiency across organizations. Sana is now available to Workday customers as part of its platform offering.
