Google DeepMind has introduced Nano Banana Pro, a new state-of-the-art image generation and editing model built on Gemini 3 Pro, expanding its capabilities for high-quality visual creation across consumer, professional, and enterprise use cases.
Nano Banana Pro represents the next evolution of Google’s image generation technology, following the release of Nano Banana earlier in 2025. The new model combines advanced reasoning, enhanced world knowledge, and real-time information grounding to help users generate more accurate, context-rich visuals. The system is designed to support a wide range of creative tasks, including infographics, diagrams, mockups, storyboards, and photorealistic compositions.
A key advancement in Nano Banana Pro is its ability to render highly accurate and legible text directly within images, including multilingual text. This enables creators to produce posters, mockups, educational materials, and branded visuals with more precise typography and design consistency. The model also supports creative text treatments, such as expressive fonts and stylized lettering that visually convey meaning.
Nano Banana Pro introduces expanded creative controls that allow users to blend up to 14 images into a single composition while maintaining the consistency and resemblance of up to five individuals. Users can also apply localized edits, adjust camera angles, modify lighting and focus, and transform scenes from day to night or across different visual styles. Outputs are supported in multiple aspect ratios and resolutions up to 4K, making them suitable for both digital and print use.
The model is rolling out across Google’s ecosystem. Consumers and students can access Nano Banana Pro through the Gemini app, with usage limits varying by subscription tier. Professionals will see the model integrated into Google Ads, as well as Google Workspace tools such as Slides and Vids. Developers and enterprises can begin using Nano Banana Pro through the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, and Vertex AI, while creatives will gain access through Flow, Google’s AI filmmaking tool.
To address transparency and trust, all images generated using Google’s AI tools are embedded with SynthID, an imperceptible digital watermark. Google has also introduced a verification feature in the Gemini app that allows users to check whether an image was generated by Google AI. Visible watermarks will remain on images produced by free and Pro tiers, while Ultra subscribers and developers using Google AI Studio will receive watermark-free outputs.
With Nano Banana Pro, Google DeepMind aims to bridge the gap between concept and creation, providing creators, professionals, and enterprises with more precise, flexible, and visually sophisticated tools for image generation and editing.
